So I didn't get myself together fast enough and today is going to be spent at home instead of going in to the city.

But tomorrow, the ferry, and probably a cycle across the bridge, as recommended by one of my friends! And then dinner with [livejournal.com profile] pandora768 and possibly some others?

I seem to have conquered the jetlag somewhat, although the sleep last night was not the best (because the pillow was too big and the cats kept coming in to check on me: "are you still alive?" *grunts* "okay. We'll come back in an hour...") I am not feeling too groggy. A little tired, perhaps, but nothing odd.

Today I will work out what I'm doing tomorrow, write Maria Hill-centric fic like a crazy thing, and hope that maybe I can get Part 1 of the epic story of DOOM done before the bigbang deadline of Wednesday? Perhaps?

Pics!

Mexican food. It's been ages since I had good Mexican - as a general rule it doesn't happen in Australia. Note those chips? Well, in Australia, they're usually Doritos...

And I forgot that this is the US and ordered two scoops of ice-cream at Baskin Robbins... Yeah. In Australia, I'm pretty sure that the double scoop is about the size of the single scoop. Portion sizes here.

I nearly took photos in the supermarket - but not at all the crazy stuff (like pull-apart bakeable cinnamon roll thingies - wtf?) but at the one 'familiar' logo out of a wall of unfamiliar ones: Philadelphia cream cheese, which has exactly the same packaging design in the US as it does in Oz... :D

I'm going to walk back over to the supermarket complex later, just for some exercise and sightseeing. :)
