First, dear Yulegoat, thank you for writing for me! We love the same fandoms and the same characters, and I hope you enjoy writing my story as much as I will enjoy reading it!

Second, be it known that I love a focus on female characters, their strengths and weaknesses, their agency and the choices they make. Even when I've specified a male character, I'd really like to know his thoughts about the female character mentioned.

Third, if you can't write the pairings that I've mentioned, then writing friendship is definitely okay with me.

Tokyo Crazy Paradise
Characters: Kozuki Tsukasa, Shirogami Ryuji

I asked for Tsukasa and Ryuji, and I'd really like something about their relationship and how things change or adjust as they grow up. They're 14 when the manga ends - that's quite a few years to 'grown up' in my books, and I'd like to see your take on where they end up, or how they end up where they do.

Some angles to think about:
- How do Tsukasa's conflicts manifest as a girl brought up by cops but who's now working in a gokuda clan?
- Ryuji is sexually experienced, while Tsukasa's pretty much an innocent - how do they deal with the physical/sexual side of things?
- Tsukasa's the daughter of a really famous warrior-woman among the gokuda, but the woman she thinks of as her mother was a cop: how does that affect the way she's seen by the clan vs. how she sees herself?

I like this canon because...well, mostly the Tsukasa/Ryuji relationship hit my kinks. Opposite backgrounds, she's not supposed to fall in love with him but she does - and doesn't moon around after him! She decides that if she can't have him, she'll still protect him, and she'll do what's right for him. And that is awesome, IMO. I love stories where (for some reason or another) a character can't be with the one they love, but they're not all sulky and pouty about it: they go out and they act out of love for that person, without expecting the one they love to necessarily reciprocate. Total kink for me!

Exiles - Melanie Rawn
Characters: Cailet Ambrai, Josselin Mikleine
Pairings (OPTIONAL): Cailet/Josselin

Every year I hope for another story of how Cailet Ambrai and Josselin Mikleine get together! Seeing as we're never going to get the actual story from Ms. Rawn. (*sigh*) Age differences, experience difference, sexuality, and the opinion of the other Mages living in Scraller's Fief. (I'm kind of intrigued by how the "knowledgeable man/female innocent" dynamic would work in a world where it's more expected for a woman to be sexually confident and the man's experience isn't expected beyond his ability to please the woman he's bedding.)

However, if Cailet/Josselin isn't your thing, I'd love to see how you envision the Mage Academy working in Scraller's Fief. Cailet living with Sarra and the rest of the Mages in close quarters, with Gorynel Desse in her head making snarky comments? What about the Mages being trained and coming in and going out? How does the logistics work? (I guess that would come under 'worldbuilding'?)

I like this canon for the worldbuilding, the complexities of the nature of the relationship between Cailet and Josselin and the implied power imbalance, and I asked for Cailet because I really really wanted her and Josselin to end up and Rawn never finished the story!

Blue Castle - L. M. Montgomery
Characters: Barney Snaith, Valancy Stirling

I love this story - How Valancy Stirling Follows Her Dream And Finds Her Freedom. I really want to read the story from Barney's POV - How Barney Snaith Learns What It Means To Be Loved. I really want to read about his life with Valancy, the things they do from his perspective, the things she brings to him and the things he does for her. And, ultimately, the realisation that his marriage is more than companionship, more than friendship, love.

Mostly, I like this canon for the way Valancy grows in this story. How she throws off her fears of her family and their expectations and lets herself be free with Barney. In asking for Barney's side of the story, I want to see his growth from the inside, and his observations of the changes in Valancy.

Lastly, dear Yulegoat, I hope that whatever it is you're writing for me, you enjoy writing it and don't stress too much about it. Yuletide is for the love of small fandoms, and should be at least a little fun amidst the hair-tearing and muse-blocking and general frustration of trying to write a fic!

(And thank you for doing this! Again!)
