A fic of just over 1000 words took me an entire week to churn out.
During that time, I did nothing else creative. I couldn't write other stories (concentration was shot), I couldn't quilt (there was a deadline!), and I could barely brain.
That story was like pulling fingernails. And the result is not even particularly satisfying (to me). But it's done. *sigh*
