My right side twinges and aches and is annoying.

The tooth/gum feels okay, but I haven't really chewed anything on it but the softest stuff. I've let the painkillers wear off at least once or twice and it was kind of achey.

Right now, the faint humming in my foot and hand are more worrying, as is the ache in the knuckle of my right ring finger. I'm kind of sick of this.

Also: work is being stressful.

I was the "middleware" person on this project, until the programmer turned out to be pregnant and I got pushed into programming on End System A.

Unfortunately, because I know both End System A and Middleware System, I am the go-to person for all the tests, all the trials, all the checking. The guy doing the Middleware System now keeps asking for things, checking things, wanting to be sure that I've done it "right".

*sigh*

And then there's the matter of scope of work. That's how much work we've been contracted to do.

Five pieces of work. Easy enough to count, right?

Nope. There's a sixth one going in, and the Project Manager on our side (who's been very antsy about time spent and the work we're doing and getting it done on time) isn't batting an eyelash. "It's a request" he says, "I'd like to know if it's going to take half a day or two weeks."

Thing is, I have very limited intel on that - they've handed me a spec, and I have no idea how long it's going to take. Which I guess is my job to find out, but the spec has been shorn of a great many things - including examples of how they previously implemented it. It would be helpful; can I copy it? Can I split off from it? Is there someone of whom I can ask questions?

Also, the Functional Specialist on this project is on holidays for 3 weeks, right when the Client is getting their arses in gear.

Those five six pieces of work? Pretty much all of them have required a fair chunk of time on my part. Partly as Middleware, partly as programmer. Either way, it's chewing up my time, chewing up my brain, and stressing me out.

And my teeth are starting to ache. *grumbles*

Sorry about everything! About Mr. Middle ware and the scope EXPANDING on you and the Neuro stuff still being distracting and worrisome.
