the biggies: My two big kinks in this are consent and respect. (With one exception. You'll know it when you see it.)

Basically, (nearly) all the couples I've listed I see as able to respect and care for each other, to be willing to negotiate, to work out what works for each other. I would prefer a happy/satisfying ending in whatever's planned, although if you're confident you're good enough to sell me an angsty ending, bring it on!

I think the best way for me to go about this is to describe how I see the pairing, make a few suggestions where I have specific scenarios in mind (optional details are optional), but by and large let you work out how the kinks I've listed might fit into that perspective.

In all the pairings except Skye/Ward, I see a relationship as an intrinsic part of who these characters would let into their bed and their bodies. As such, I want them to be in or negotiating an emotional/personal relationship as well as sex and not just a one-night-stand. Trust in intimacy would be a huge thing for all the pairings, and is also an intrinsic part of how I see sex - as an expression of intimacy and trust - and I'd much prefer a gift fic that reflected that.

MCU: Maria/Steve

So, I see these two as soldiers, driven by duty, finding solace in each other but coming to care about each other in ways that make them intrinsically uncomfortable. Maria in particular would fight the idea that she cares about "Captain America", whether they're friends-with-benefits or just colleagues when it hits her like a helicarrier smashing into the Triskelion. Steve would probably have a little angst about the "don't have a home to give" angle, but he'd let it go in bed, maybe telling himself that this is sex-with-comrades, before he realises it's not.

MCU: Bucky/Sharon

Weapons Kink, Woman on Top, Service Submission, Scar Exploration, Pining, Affirmative Consent Play

Definitely a rarepairing, and perhaps a slightly odd one. I like the idea of Bucky shaking up Sharon's certainties. I like the idea that she starts off seeing him as the legend - Lieutenant Barnes of the Howling Commandos, and The Winter Soldier - and begins to see him as just 'Bucky'. I adore the idea of Bucky's boundaries - learning where they are after he's been defrosted and put back together. And I like the idea of Bucky learning how love and sex works in a modern world, with a modern woman like Sharon.

Pacific Rim: Mako/Raleigh

I adore the way Raleigh looks at Mako through the movie - as though he'd give her the world if he only knew how. That would tie into their sex life, I think. And Mako's desire to influence, to make a difference, to control would be weighed against her determination to do the right thing - particularly when it comes to Raleigh and bed. Plus, I imagine Mako does her homework. Not just on sex, but on Raleigh Becket and sex. Which would embarrass the hell out of Raleigh, because that was before and it didn't matter. This does, and while he's not going to apologise for what went before, he doesn't want to revisit it; he's someone else now - not a Becket Boy - and his sexuality is Mako Mori.

Pacific Rim: Duc/Kaori

Language Kink, Language Barrier, Sharing a Bed, Sharing Fantasies, Negotiations

So, I'm going to get a bit specific with these two.

I want the development of their relationship. I want them to collide in the halls of the PPDC wherever, drop everything they're carrying make a mess, and apologise to each other, holding a fluid conversation in two entirely different languages with no idea of what they're doing.

I want them to be trying to communicate - but her English isn't good and his Japanese is non-existant, and it's so frustrating, because the only place they communicate perfectly is on the Kwoon mats.

I want them negotiating how sex-and-Drifting works between them. There've been other Drifting pairs and partnerships before, but this is new for them and they don't know what to do with it - and are too embarrassed to ask someone else for advice - and the internet isn't always accurate - so they work it out themselves. Very very carefully.

Agents of SHIELD: Jemma Simmons/Antoine Triplett

Oh, these two. THESE TWO. I love Jemma's attitude to life and her willingness to accept Trip's protection in S1. I love Trip's tenderness and respect for what Jemma can do and the relationships she already has, even if it's not in the line of what he can do. I love their friendship, and I'd love to see that spill over into sex. Can you imagine Jemma doing 'homework', and Trip being utterly bemused by her pillow-talk? Can't you just see them laughing their way through sex?

Agents of SHIELD: Grant Ward/Skye

So these two are my 'hatesex is bad for you' pairing. Teasing, taunting, driving each other crazy... In-canon if you can conceive it, AU if you can't do them in-canon; I'm pretty flexible about these two, so long as their characterisation is kept fairly in-sync with how they are in canon (yes, Ward is a bastard; don't apologise for it). And yes, they can hate each others' guts (you can go the 'hate-is-the-other-side-of-love' if you want) and still have extremely hot sex.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens: Finn/Rey

First Time, Negotiations, Massage, Sharing a Bed, Sharing Body Heat, Licking

For these two, I want sweet-and-sensitive kink, with some working out of issues along the way. As various meta has pointed out, neither Finn nor Rey have exactly grown up in communities that valued touch and intimacy. Rey probably spent a fair bit of time avoiding assault, and exactly what they do to stormtroopers' sex drive (if anything) while brainwashing them up is a big question mark. So I'd like these two learning contact, consent, tactility, comfort zones, and being adorably awkward as they learn each other in bed.

Ultimately, I love these pairings and their sexual potential, and don't want you to run away screaming, so think of these as suggestions and not absolutes.
