I don't know why it's so, it just is.
Woke up at midnight, 2:30am, 4am, and 6:30am last night. And that was with painkillers.
Tonight, without painkillers, it's mostly a dull ache, which is probably contributing to the tension in my muscles and the headaches I'm having. This, too, should pass, but it's a PITA while waiting for it to go.
I'm kind of feeling the implant now, a slight ache in my upper jaw, a slight swelling in my cheek. According to the intarwebs, it can take up to 2 weeks to ease back. So, I have another fortnight of this to look forward to.
The hand and foot have been suspiciously tingly and achey today; such that I wasn't sure that I could make it out to watch a couple of hockey games, go to church, and attend the stepbro's birthday dinner. In the end, I did none of those things.
I know the psych said not to let my fear rule me, and that I should go out and do things the same as always, but part of these next couple of weeks will be re-establishing a 'baseline normal' from which I can start exploring what I can and can't do anymore, what's hurting, what doesn't, what feels swollen, what is going to pass.

mcuflashmeme (which has gone quiet these last couple of weeks), back when they were looking for a story set by moonlight.
