So, I listened to a whole slew of episodes through the middle of the season, because I was sewing, but I may want to go back and watch them for more detail.

I really really enjoyed Season One.

I just...I don't have the words. I can't meta it, it's just...fun and enjoyable and non-faily and fascinating. It's also very layered for a children's TV show - both the protagonists and antagonists are complex and complicated!

Anyway, good show!

Now I have to hunt up S2. Unfortunately the whole series is rather expensive in Australia, which is a little off-putting. Then again, everything's expensive around here.

[livejournal.com profile] frith_in_thorns is doing an A:TLA rewatch which I've decided to join.

Because I need to watch with other people to keep watching a show, otherwise I just fall out and never get back on the horse. (NCIS is actually a big exception: I fell off at the end of S7 and have finally gotten back in come S10 - truthfully, it's not the Tony/Ziva, it was the prospect of a storyline directly and uniquely connected to Ziva.)

The 'watching with other people' is part of the reason I struggle with H50, NCIS, and Elementary - I don't have the kind of pressure/involvement/integration that I did with Stargate SG1 and Stargate Atlantis (to name my big two fandoms).

I stopped watching Dexter when the friend I was watching it with moved away and it wasn't so easy to drop in and watch episodes.

I had to get a friend to sit and watch BSG with me - although we kind of OD'd on it - eight episodes at a time of that series is not healthy for the brain.

[livejournal.com profile] allisnow was watching Fringe S1 and S2 with me, and then I stalled at S3 and haven't completed it. (Alli, you will have opportunity in August to drag me back in, I promise!)

So: A:TLA. Two eps a week (they're very short and sweet) shouldn't be too difficult. Maybe wind-down time after work and before writing? Or right before bed?
