Whoever thought of this challenge should be shot. My muse is OD-ing on the crack and will not let me write anything else! *headdesk*
TITLE: To Serve A Queen
PAIRING: Elizabeth Weir/Ronan Dex
RATING: R
NOTES: The Realm of the Blood is not mine, it's Anne Bishop's. I shouldn't have to tell you that the Atlantis characters aren't mine, either. This story is now finished: 1st Dec, 2005.
TITLE: The Pinocchio Syndrome
PAIRING: Sheppard/Teyla
RATING: PG-13
NOTES: Oh. My. God. I wrote this in the last three hours in terror that the challenge would end before I got it done. No time so no beta, so sorry! The Quandem project is not my idea, but I really like it. And I don't think it's quite trashily romantic enough, but what the hey, I wrote it for this, so you're getting it!
TITLE: Risk of the Heart
PAIRING: Elizabeth Weir/Ronan Dex
NOTES: "Father, forgive me, for I have written Ronan/Weir..." *g*
TITLE: Hunter in a Deerfringe Skirt
PAIRING: John Sheppard/Teyla Emmagen
NOTES: I wanted it to be longer, but this was all that would allow itself to be written!
TITLE: Though Duty Keep Us Parted
SUMMARY: A thrilling saga of forbidden love and unspeakable yearning set in the far-flung Pegasus galaxy against a backdrop of interplantary war!
PAIRING: Sheppard/Weir
RATING: PG-13
NOTES: *dies laughing* It's more of a blurb than a story, but I hope you enjoy!
I can't believe I put five entries into the
sga_flashfic 'Harlequin' challenge.
Five. Entries. That's 1/20th of the entries (they had 100). Yikes.
Actually, I'd have to classify all of the ideas or stories I entered as 'crackfic' rather than Harlequin: they weren't romantic so much as...weird. I don't know why my brain translated 'Harlequin' as 'alternative universe romance' but it did.
Of them all, I think people liked 'The Pinocchio Syndrome' best: I got the most comments and requests for completion for that one. 'To Serve A Queen', however, took over my brain and presently has 8,000 words to its credit. It's got a plot, subplots and possibly even an ending. Ow. 8,000 words.
'Pinocchio Syndrome' will probably go into the file of 'fanfic to turn into profic' ideas: adjusted, of course, since the Quandem project isn't my creation (bloody neat idea, though), and with new characters. I actually mapped out a storyline for it (brain in overdrive) so we've got somewhere to go. I'm sure I'll think better of it in about six months.
I really like the 'crossover' ideas: taking characters from one universe and circumstances from another and squishing them together. I just got an idea for a Firefly/SG-1 crossover. I needed to write one of those anyway since there's a Crossover Ficathon that's due in a couple of weeks. Now, where to start and where to finish?
Anyway, crackfic. Mad, bad, and very very sad crackfic.

It's quite exciting, really. :D
[Leaves to devour said stories.]

I would read the novella-length expanded version!
