life grumbles

I really dislike working in the city these days - long hours, plus travelling time. I leave the house around 7am and don't get home until at least 6pm, which right now translates to 'no time in the garden' right at a time when I need time to manage the garden.

I have:

• a compost heap that needs turning,
• chooks that need attention,
• fruit trees that need netting

and right at this time my parents have to go away, requiring my sister to stay at their house and deal with their geriatric cat, and I have to end up working long hours at a distant workplace.

UGH.
