Oh, there's an interview with Torri. She talks a little about ending her time as Weir. It doesn't it newstands till May 1, but the subscribers apparently have gotten theirs.

Well, someone was kind enough to load scans of the article on GW. The gist on her departure seems to be that she was told there'd be changes, and was asked if she'd rather leave altogether or come back as reoccuring, and she chose the latter. I'm paraphrasing. I'm sure the article in itself would make some a twitter, but it seems like a nice little interview.

I can barely read the scans, even magnified. I'll have to wait another week to see the hard copy. *iz old*

Not much of a choice - leave or recur - but then, there may not have been much more choice from among the contracts department or the finances department.

Well, it's really pointless, the speculating. Pointless, but interesting. Those of us who guessed it was a business decision are not consoled, but are resigned. I'm more than ready to give it a chance. But then, I've never really considered myself to attached to any show to be really upset, and I'm pretty naive as far as fandom goes, as this is my first and only one in which I've participated.

Ah. See...this is a bad case of deja vu for me: I saw it all happen in Stargate SG-1 fandom when Michael Shanks left in Season Six.

Gah! I'm so glad I've been too busy with stickandsnark to keep up with lj at all this weekend. I'm sort of afraid of what I'm going to find as I catch up on my friendslist today.
