Took another 2 painkillers at 6pm.
I was feeling good enough to go to Bible Study by 8pm. Then I arrived at the house and realised: it's school holidays and we don't have bible study. *sigh*
Went to the supermarket, stood in the aisles feeling lost. Shiny happy capitalism that just made me feel sick to my stomach, even without the Return Of The Cramps. I called the sistren at the house, but it goes to voicemail before they answer it; I know they're listening to the message, they're just not picking up. So there I am in the supermarket yelling down the phone like an idiot...
Bought a few things. Went home. Stood in the kitchen and didn't feel like eating anything, but I know about looking after myself, so I had...something. Don't even remember what at this point. Not sure it matters.
Went to bed around 10pm. Maybe woke up a bit past midnight and emptied the mooncup again.
Woke up at 5:30am with AWFUL cramps. Think I took some more painkillers, but don't clearly remember.
At least the mooncup wasn't full this morning. I don't think I have anything left to bleed out. And that was a bloody, awful period. Comma positioning 100% intentional.
I don't know if it's stress or health or work or what, but last night I Could Not Even.
This morning I Can Barely Just.
Also: I want tacos (thank you, Beth Moore, do you know how far away the nearest tacos likely are for me???) and to believe that ordinary people who might not usually vote are looking at Joe Biden salvaging what little he could from that shitshow and thinking, "he may not be the guy I wanted, but he's got character and that matters to me". Honourable enemies over dishonourable allies, if you will.

I've had really bad cramps every month as a teen that gradually got better as an adult. Still painful nowadays but I will have times where I'm curled up around a heating pad whimpering from the pain.

How do you find the heating pad works? Never tried it, but if you think it helps, I might in future.

Speaking as someone who used to have period cramps so bad I would be writhing around on the floor in agony moaning
in too much pain to sit upright
microwavable heatpacks help.
Not 100%, but enough to be worth buying and microwaving.

My go to is the combination of the heating pad, a painkiller containing a muscle relaxant and sleep to help deal with the pain.
