So that was a fun afternoon of missing out in something I already felt alienated from.

Other joyful things in my life:
  • Watching one of my chickens listless and struggling.

  • A house that's messy ALL THE TIME.

  • With work full of guys that don't respect me.

  • In a church that thinks I'm a left-wing weird-ass liberal.

  • Friends who don't actually have the time or inclination to spend with me.

  • The conviction that all the polls are lying about Biden's lead, because if it wasn't acceptable to say you were voting for Trump four years ago, it's even less so now.

I know, I know, I'm no fun. You don't have to tell me that. I never have been fun, alllll the way back to 1997 when I won the "No Nonsense" award at a Christian camp. Does it still sting? Yes, it fucking well does.

I think if the fact that you love all people and treat them with dignity and respect makes you a "left-wing weird-ass liberal" then they are the ones with a problem. It makes me very sad that you're left feeling that way in a place that should be a Home for you. You're a warm person who deserves better.
