Done for oxoniensis' Porn Battle #4.

Right. So, I did 'Naked And Sacred' (colour pencil drawing) in about two hours for the porn battle. There went my writing time for the evening!

I was actually hoping to manage them in the bath...but do you know how difficult baths are? All that white! And the light reflection off water... *shudders*

I actully hand-drew this in coloured pencil, but since I lack a scanner I had to take a digiphoto, upload it, and do some colour/light enhancement in PSP. The original without enhancement.



I know that their nearside arms sorta vanish into nothing. But truly, limbs are my curse. I just can't get them positioned right! Halfway through the colouring in process, I realised Teyla kinda resembled Chaya. *facepalms* A few adjustments sorted that out.

The pencils I used are actually watercolour, so I might attempt a colour wash later.

The title reference was to a line that I can't clearly remember from Melanie Rawn's Ruins Of Ambrai:

"Thereafter, Collan always felt that sex was obscene unless he bedded down with the woman's glad laughter as well as the woman."
(Probably misquoted.)

I love it...it's not "porn" to me but more sensual and tender. It has a soft feel to it. The afterthoughts after the passionate moments are just as significant and that's what this feels like to me. My only note would be that it looks like Teyla is caressing his hair, and I would have loved to have that more up close and apparent. That is so significant as to who and what I would see Teyla doing to John. His hair is just too tempting.

And I"m also wondering about John's expression. Is he laughing, smiling, breathing heavily or talking? And Teyla, her expression is curious as well. She's content and certainly satisfied.

Very nicelyd done, Tie. I had no idea you could draw as well.
