Truth Or Dare:

PROMPT: Teyla & Jonas

Stargate Command was quite unlike Atlantis. Where Atlantis was light and graceful, built as the Ancestors' place to live, the SGC was solid and functional, built to protect the secrets the Earth people kept within.
One of those secrets walked the concrete corridors beside Elizabeth Weir, wondering a little at the secrecy practised by her allies. Knowing was not the same as experiencing, and this was an experience indeed.
"There's usually at least seventy to eighty people in the base at any given time," Elizabeth was explaining as they stepped into the elevator to make their way to the commissary. "Mostly military - Air Force, although there are several Marine contingents - and scientific. A couple of diplomats--"
"Like yourself."
"--like me, to do the negotiating, and one or two resident aliens such as Teal'c and Vala Mal Doran. You've met Vala when she came to Atlantis." Elizabeth didn't wince, but she did leave a tactful pause. The initial encounter between Teyla and Vala had not been propituous, and things went downhill thereafter. "Have you met Teal'c yet?"
"Not yet."
"Well, you will," Elizabeth said as they came out of the elevator and entered the commissary. "And sooner than I thought," she added as she glanced around the room. "Do you want to meet them now?"
"If it would not be rude to interrupt him, then yes," Teyla said, noting that the dark-skinned man was seated with another man whose clothing suggested he was not commonly found in the SGC.
Elizabeth grinned. "Actually, I don't think he'll mind so much. And you can meet Jonas while you're at it."
Teal'c stood as they approached, and his companion did likewise. "Dr. Weir."
"Teal'c." Elizabeth's smile was easy. "This is Teyla Emmagen of Athos - our first ally in the Pegasus galaxy. Teyla, Teal'c of the Jaffa Nation."
Teal'c inclined his head to a nod as regal as any dignitary Teyla had met. "Teyla Emmagen." His faint smile deepened as she tendered him the Jaffa salute of respect - fist over heart - and returned the gesture. "Be welcome."
"It is a pleasure to meet you," she said and meant it. Teyla's curiosity was great about Teal'c of the Jaffa, in whose fight for freedom against the Goa'uld she had found some parallels with her own people's struggle against the Wraith.
He had succeeded, in alliance with Earth. Teyla hoped that her own people's story would be similarly successful.
"And this is Jonas Quinn of Kelowna," Elizabeth said with a quick smile for Teal'c's companion. "Jonas was on SG-1 for a while
"A very little while," Jonas said as he held out his hand for Teyla to shake. "And that was five years ago."
Teyla took the proffered hand, well-familiar with this gesture by now. His grip was easy and firm although he was a slender man, tending almost to boyish in the cut of his hair and the set of his limbs. "You are an ambassador to Earth, now?"
"I come back every now and then," Jonas said. "Mostly to exchange scientific knowledge and to catch up with old friends. Usually in the commissary."
"Jonas has a passion for the food of Earth," Teal'c said in solemn accents that did nothing to disguise his affection for his friend. "Perhaps you will join us?"
Teyla glanced at Elizabeth who shrugged, smiling. "If we are not interrupting you."
"Oh, you're not," Jonas assured her with an easy smile.
"You would be most welcome at our table."
Teyla smiled at both men - the tall and dark and the slim and pale. A contrast in appearance, although in an accord of personality. Earth, it seemed, had a habit of breeding such alliances of mind. "Then we will be glad to accept."

"The last time I saw this many women in a room together was my cousin's bridal shower," Laura remarked in Teyla's ear as they wandered across the polished floor of the gathering hall, smiling and nodding at the myriad women who eyed them as they walked by. "And that went pear-shaped when someone discovered the bride's sister was having an affair with her cousin's husband. Please tell me I'm not the only one feeling like a little dove in a nest of hawks."
Teyla acknowledged a graceful woman in sleek cream silk and was glad she had encouraged the Lantean women to 'dress up' for this convocation. "I have been here several times."
The Edanirans were an ancient culture that had changed little in the many generations since they had located to this planet, far-flung from the main corridors of Wraith traffic.
"With your people?"
"It was long ago, and I was very young when Charin first brought me here. And I felt as you do now - as though they were watching me." And they were watching the Lanteans. It was the way of the Edanirans to treat with a culture only after ascertaining the individuals of that culture and their personal behaviours.
Teyla saw nothing wrong with this. A true trade - of thoughts and not merely of things - was only accomplished through immersion in one culture or another. And while the Lantean party would only be present on this planet for two days, the Edanirans would take full opportunity to observe their guests.
Laura brushed a wisp of blonde hair from her eyes. "Well, they're definitely watching us. And not surreptitiously either." She scowled. "I hate girl politics. I mean, it's all very well for you and Dr. Weir, but I went into the military for a reason - point, shoot, kick ass, blow things up, go home and hopefully get a commendation."
"Then you must consider this an expansion of your experiences," Teyla said, gently guiding Laura towards a small knot of women. "Or die in the attempt," she said with wry humour.
"God, Teyla. Do you have to be so cheerful?"

Evan can think of no easier way to have his ass kicked on three fronts - the Sheppard, McKay, and Dex fronts - than to be caught kissing Teyla Emmagen.
But in life, sometimes you have to take risks.
Besides, she's not about to let him go. One hand is clamped on the back of his neck and the other is sliding over his shoulder as Evan slides one hand around a warm, bare waist and thanks all the deities in the universe for midriff tops and hipster fatigue trousers.
Some risks are definitely worth it.

TITLE: Flavours
PROMPT: John/Teyla, fruit
FOR: Porn Battle
The sticky trail of juice slides down Teyla's arm as she bites into the flesh of the fruit, sweet-tangy flavours on her tongue.
Before she can catch the droplet, John is there.
He leans across and plants his hands either side of her hips. His tongue glides up the outside of her forearm, a soft, wet slide of sensation across her skin. His lips find her fingers, and then, smiling, her mouth.
"I have not finished the fruit."
Her protest is ignored, overridden without words as his hand slides along her wrist, pushing the fruit to the platter by the bed.
In spite of the interruption to her supping, Teyla smiles beneath John's kisses as she wraps an arm over his shoulder, and her fingers pause, tacky, on his jaw.
Hands circle her waist, drawing her in to him as his tongue cleans the fruit residue from the corners of her mouth, and Teyla finds herself savoured as she savoured the fruit: jaw, throat, breasts, belly, cleft.
John's fingers lead the way - fingers that hold steady on a gun's trigger trail light as a zephyr's brush across the fine hairs of her body, stirring desire. His tongue follows - lips that issue commands with determined authority stroke steadily across her warming skin, inciting hunger.
In the cool of the Atlantis night, John heats her to incandescence, like the flame of the candle that dances on her bedside stand, like the flash of a C4 explosion, confined between them - their own private conflagration as she comes and he follows.
Later, Teyla licks her fingers clean of the fruit juice as he watches, not quite smiling.

...I feel like apologising for being prolific. Especially since so many people just watch this journal and don't comment. I'm like the crazy metro-hobo of LJ: "Oh, god, she's posted fic again! Don't meet her eye! Don't meet her eye! Maybe she'll go away if we ignore her!"
Does anyone else in the universe have this problem, or is it just me?

Proflic? As if that's a bad thing!
I'm one of those people. I've been promising myself for about a year that I would create a livejournal account just so I could come and comment on your fic unanonymously(?). Anyway, I don't think you're a "crazy metro-hobo" (hee!). If I hadn't kept up with your journal (and the fic), I would have stopped watching Atlantis after the second season, so you going away is not an option for me if I'm going to continue watching the show.

These are some good ones...
UBI, you write? What????????
Dang the woman is talented! Now how can I get her to write JT....hmm....
I already left you a comment on the Fruit fic, Tie....love it!

LOLZ!!! Oh Evan. Definitely worth the risk, indeeeeed.
The Teyla/Lorne was definitely my fave of these. I also liked the first one. I think Teyla and Teal'c would have centuries worth of conversations at their initial meeting, hee. And there is never enough Jonas. *pets him*

Loved, loved having Teal'c, Teyla and Jonas together in a fic. That was fantastic. Makes me want to eavesdrop on their conversation, which must surely turn toward the strangeness of the Tau'ri at one point... I think the three of them would get along like a house on fire, except with less screaming and more dignified calmness.

Sadly, no, there isn't.
*looks pleading*
Dare I hope that you might consider writing some yourself?

I'll probably give it another try once I've finished writing for Apocalypse_Kree... *ponders*
