Flight was fine, except I learned that my RTW ticket didn't offer me the "direct flight from SFO to SYD". *grr* Could have avoided an airport and a plane's worth of people!
Had a window seat and an empty seat between me and the person on the aisle, which made the flight marginally better.
An interesting phenom: United's newer planes have UV tech on the windows that allows them to shade them all like the old Hollywood movie scenes where they're trying to pretend something is happening by night (but obvs full moon because everything has shadows).
Around 4am Sydney time, I could not work out what the purple-blue glowing thing off to the east was! It was the wrong shape for the moon at this time of month, and the only explanation my brain could come up with was 'alien spaceship'. I asked two flight attendants, one of whom was dismissive, the other who explained that it was the sun rising over the Pacific Islands (which are 3-4 hours ahead of us), but we weren't seeing it the way we usually did because of the windows and their UV shading.
Definitely weird.
Anyway, got home, had to reset all my passwords for work.
Started the day slightly floaty. Ate some lunch and drank some caffeine, and that stabilised me, but its just gone 7:30 here, the sun is down, and the world has gone floaty again.
Cats have been all over me, and Mal is even now yowling at the door. I've put the chickens away, will run a load of washing, and I think go to bed. Not sure if I'll sleep with cats or not. Decisions decisions...
Delightful as it was to see all the people I managed to see (so sorry to those I missed one way or the other), it's good to be home at last, though.

Still kind of tired: went to bed at 8:30pm, woke at 12:30am, had a snack, went back to sleep, woke around 5am, figured that was about as much as I was going to get...
Maybe a bit more sleep tonight. Should sleep well, I've got a summer hockey game at 7pm!
