Whew.
The week of moving out was mad.
The week of replacing the windows was insane.
Now we're into the week of 'fixing, sealing, painting' which...is going to be a lot.
Keep in mind, I haven't taken time off work for this (a whole other story) and it's been a little bit mad around here as I try to get things sorted out. And it's mostly me because B1 doesn't have the energy inclincation.
Anyway, the bit that concerns me most is the sealing-up of the house, even more than the painting.
A friend said her husband might be able to give advice, so I'm going to follow that avenue of inquiry. I don't need someone to do it for me, I just need some help on what to get and where to find it.
And then sorting everything out and about... That's a job in and of itself, though. *SIGH*
But I'm so absolutely exhausted of late, and I wanted a massage this weekend and haven't had even the faintest sliver of time. Also, I'm not very compos mentis right now. Just so tired.

B1 goes on her solo holiday in the first week of June which is just under 6 weeks away and now that I'm thinking about it, I'm terrified for her. Around and about the UK for at least two months, solo, meeting up with nobody, just watching the Ashes, with little to no experience at travelling by herself, and no self-preservation or off button when it comes to rambling on about herself and life...
Yeesh.

Played first game of the season today. Won 5-0, scored 3 of those - mostly lovely passes from other people, including a rebound off the goalie that landed precisely on my stick for me to just shoot it in.
It wasn't a particularly challenging game, although I did have one point where I was just following the ball halfway across the field as a defender, trying to get it out from the opposing player who had it.

It has to be exhausting handling work and all the house repairs at the same time. I send you strength!
I can understand your worries about your sibling. I send her massive good vibes for it all going well.

FWIW, if it would be helpful to give B1 my details as "someone in the UK who you can ask if you need help", you can. Of course she will quite likely feel she doesn't need them, but the offer's there. I am not particularly near any of the Ashes venues, but I'm a lot nearer than you, and they're all well-connected places, by UK standards.
Also of course I will happily show people around Cambridge any time, if she's so inclined to make a visit here.

*fingers crossed that your sister's trip is both safe and awesome* :)
