I think I should ask my sister if she de-bugged my room with one of those spray-and-leave pesticides while I was gone. I'm still having weird mouth reactions to drinking from the (reusable, refillable) water bottle that was left open in the room while I was away.
Or maybe I should just take some antibiotics. *sigh*
The father of one of my church friends died last weekend, and so the plans for group catchups that were in place for this week have all ended up shelved out of respect for her and her grief. But I'm feeling antsy, like I want to sit and catch up with people more than I managed on Sunday evening (when I had to duck off for dinner with the parentals anyway).
I am getting paid today - both the last of my pay from last year, and the first of my pay from this year - which is excellent. Now, all I need is for that work contract to come back through and I am GOOD TO GO. Three months would be good, six months would be perfect. (A 3 year confirmed contract would be ABSOLUTELY GOLD, but yeah, they're not going to do that.)
Weekend plans:
- make a tunnel for the chooks to get them from the chook yard to the triangle garden where I want them to forage (and de-weed and de-bug)
- get four quilts ready for delivery to the quilter (backing and batting)
