bit of a week eh

I ordered a cats-and-blue-wave flag for hanging in my study window (and block out the sunlight, naturally), except now that I look at it closely, it's been AI generated and...I don't like it. The eyes of the cartoon cats are not quite right and it's bothering me, dammit.

First full work week. It's been tiring. I think I'm just getting older, really.

I sponsored a kid through one of those aid programs. She aged out of the program in September, and I cannot find anyone for love or money who will tell me how, or even if I'm allowed to keep in touch with her via letters. I understand if not, but still. I've been sponsoring her since she was, maybe nine, if not younger. That's a long time.

I keep on wanting to invite people around to 'body double' me while I'm cleaning and sorting things, but I keep stopping because, well, the house is not always the neatest and 'cleaning and sorting' things is kind of unglamourous.

I should really invite them anyway. I just never quite manage it.

I have the plot for the end of my book but I can't seem to focus sufficiently to write it. This is exceedingly frustrating.

I promise you, I would love to body double someone while they cleaned-and-sorted. Maybe I could bring my laptop and crack on with the course I'm meant to be finishing, or my Duolingo, or something else ...

AHHHHH I would come sit and watch, and probably help, clean and sort in a heartbeat. Different continents though, sadly.

Let yourself invite them - anyone who agrees to body double is going to know you already need to clean and sort, so they won't be offended that it isn't already cleaned/sorted. You got this!

And go go go for the book! The focus thing is definitely hard at the finish line, but you'll get there!

I have the final scenes nutted out, I'm going to finish it this November! My group is doing A Month Of Writing Dangerously rather than NaNo, and I'm still going to try for 50K.

And then the rewrites. Hoo boy.
