I really can't eat everything in sight anymore.

Half-meals but full-appetite. Going to have to learn to slow down and chew a lot.

But DAMMIT am I going to spend the remainder of my life hungry? Because right now, I'm starving. But my stomach is full.

I was wondering this myself. There might be constipation due to post-surgical medication, or even some post-surgical swelling. Both of these things can put pressure on your stomach and make it fill up too quickly. Do go see your doctor and ask for an abdominal ultrasound or CT scan.
