Christmas Cards

I'd like to send you a Christmas card.

If you'd like to receive a Christmas card from Oz (the one without the yellow brick road), then comment with a mailing address. Reponses are screened.

I cannot guarantee that it will be a non-religious card, but I can guarantee that the sentiments expressed within will be sincere and wholehearted and meant in the best of ways and not with any mind to oppressing you and your choice of beliefs.

(And, yes, I would love a card from you if you're inclined to send them to complete strangers in Australia.)

There was new Bones and nobody told me?

In other news, sjhw_tolerance thinks I should watch SGA: The Prodigal, so I'm downloading it. I'm in two minds about when to watch it, though. I suspect that me being me, and the Stargate writers being the Stargate writers, it would be safest to watch it after I've finished my wordcount for the day.

Since the planned wordcount by the end of tomorrow is somewhere in the region of 15K (in line with the expected wordcount for Day 9 of NaNo), and my planned wordcount by the end of the night is somewhere in the region of 10-11K tonight (Write Or Die - it's gonna save my bacon)...it'll be tomorrow night, my time, before I get around to watching it.

And after the initial, "Hey, an episode that I might possibly like!" reaction, now my gloomy, depressive side is saying, "Yeah, but you're going to be disappointed: this is Stargate! It might be fun to play with, but when has it ever lived up to expectation? Really? No, really? Especially when it's about Teyla."

Anyway, it's downloading, so it's there if I decide to watch it.

Given how much heartbreak I've been getting out of Stargate and its "Coloureds Need Not Apply" mentality in canon and fanon, I'm ambivalent. I was doing a reasonable job ignoring the show, too.
