There was new Bones and nobody told me?
In other news,
sjhw_tolerance thinks I should watch SGA: The Prodigal, so I'm downloading it. I'm in two minds about when to watch it, though. I suspect that me being me, and the Stargate writers being the Stargate writers, it would be safest to watch it after I've finished my wordcount for the day.
Since the planned wordcount by the end of tomorrow is somewhere in the region of 15K (in line with the expected wordcount for Day 9 of NaNo), and my planned wordcount by the end of the night is somewhere in the region of 10-11K tonight (Write Or Die - it's gonna save my bacon)...it'll be tomorrow night, my time, before I get around to watching it.
And after the initial, "Hey, an episode that I might possibly like!" reaction, now my gloomy, depressive side is saying, "Yeah, but you're going to be disappointed: this is Stargate! It might be fun to play with, but when has it ever lived up to expectation? Really? No, really? Especially when it's about Teyla."
Anyway, it's downloading, so it's there if I decide to watch it.
Given how much heartbreak I've been getting out of Stargate and its "Coloureds Need Not Apply" mentality in canon and fanon, I'm ambivalent. I was doing a reasonable job ignoring the show, too.

I usually use you,
I guess I'll be watching - a lot of people seem to think that I should 'waste my time' with this one.

I do really want to see how they resolve the whole Michael drama, so I might watch it ("Prodigal") this weekend.

This. Exactly this. And I'm terrified that if I stop and watch SGA, I'll get thrown off-course for my story. Plus, the disappointment factor is always strong with the show.
*cheers your NaNo on*

I just watched "Prodigal," and I second that it's an episode you should check out above all others. (I actually skipped "Inquisition" in favor of it) It was quite impressive. Not perfect, but there were a lot of things that I didn't expect to see, am pleased I did, and made me squee! as well as go "huh, interesting" at various points.

And it's not really a spoiler to say: Teyla=badass.

Actually, your comment about "not the greatest episode ever" just started off the negative curve again. It's always a bad idea to try to moderate my optimistic instincts: my depressive instincts take care of that naturally...
