Won our final season game 6-0. I scored 1, helped with at least 1 more. Had a shot on goal that was knocked out by the goalie, and angled one a little too high (it went over the crossbar).
The one goal I scored was a penalty stroke - me vs. the goalie (who was pretty small and kind of hungover). It was nice to get it - I'd been practising at training, aiming for the corners and just out of reach for the goalie. Going to have to practise it again - looking for the high corners.
We were top of the table, but the last few weeks have been bad for us, and we only just found our mojo again this week. So we slipped to 2nd place, which is where we'll finish the competition.
The finals series is going to be a bit rough, I think. We can do it - we've beat all the teams at least once before - we just have to keep our heads and keep going.
