There's a part of me right now that desperately can't wait to be in recovery, if only because I'll be utterly bored with lying around.
At least, that's the theory.
It's just go-go-go right now, finishing off work and handing over to my replacement, bringing her up to speed, dealing with my new area lead who keeps on assigning me work, and trying to get things done around the garden and house now because the next month after this will be mostly asking people for help.
Which I can do. And people are glad to help! Or they say they are. (Don't overthink it, self. If they weren't glad to help, they wouldn't turn up.)
Oh, and
And, of course, the period is still going: one day on, one day off...
And then there's traveling on public transport, hyperalert to every bloody cough. That's been fun.
I'm so tired... I kind of want to skip bible study tonight, but it's been a couple of weeks since I went, and it'll be a couple more weeks before I can go again. But also, there's at least one person (new to the group) who's combatative right wing and...it's not restful.
ETA: I skipped it.
I'm debating how to tell my friendsgroups that I'm doing the yeeterus. Some people have picked up on it, others asked outright, I straight-up told the hockey team. I told work it was surgery, but haven't told them what. Among my friends group I'm open about going into surgery on Friday, exactly how detailed I get depends on the person.
On the up side of stuff: a friend came out as trans to me this afternoon. Like, dude, I already knew. But I appreciate the trust.
Also: I got a haircut. It's quite a nice one, I think. We'll see if it stays nice to tomorrow...

Oh, and
TMI: lower bodily things
battling a UTI and the resurgence of my period every couple of days, at the same time. At one point there was almost certainly blood in my urine. This is not something that you want right before they have to separate your uterus from your bladder, amirite? And, of course, the period is still going: one day on, one day off...
