Still here!
I'm sorry for not letting people know about the journal deletion ahead of time. It's just a little difficult on a Sunday afternoon when most of your f-list have gone to bed and you're facing 2,000 words that need to be written now or you know you'll never get it done.
The journal deletion was for no reason other than that I simply needed LJ not to be there for a while so I could concentrate on other things (primarily Big Bang, but also the New Job taking a solid 10 hours out of my day). A drastic move, perhaps, but needed in the face of my tendency to use LJ as a time-wasting device.
And it gave me some nice mental space. Even if I've been having withdrawl symptoms in the last 24 hours. (*breathes*) And yes, I did get a lot of writing done without LJ there to tempt me: 5,000 words in 2 days is a lot for me.
Thank you to the folks who asked after me, too - I appreciate the concern.

JT Thing-A-Thon things are due today! We've already got half of them in! *glees*

There's a 50/50 chance that I might be late with my thing-a-thon... I'll do my best but it's all up whether or not my work computer decides to cooperate with me today! LOL It's still only Tuesday in the US though! :-)

That was a pretty big thing for you to do in order to get more important things done. I admire your perseverance. :)

eg. Tonight? I haven't done half of what I wanted, thanks to updating the Thing-a-thon Masterlist and responding to people. But it's okay. I'm about to do some now...

I pretty much panicked when the message came up that your site was deleted. I had just visited the day before and read your assessments of Teyla's heritage. Plus, I thought I had seen that you were working on a huge story project.
I was very confused and ventured on a mini quest of sorts to discover your whereabouts:
I couldn't remember the name of the other journal you post on; but I kept racking my brain for it anyway. I searched you on google to see if you started up on another blogging site (though I'm completely ignorant on how any other blog network functions, I barely understand lj sometimes and won't touch myspace with a ten foot pole).
I thought you might have posted something on Teylafen about your departure, so I looked there. Nothing.
FInally, I searched you on Fanfiction.net, and uncovered (by means of your listed fav authors) the name of your alterna-account, which had eluded me so well. But, alas, seldear had also been deleted.
That was when semi-panic set in. I figured for sure you'd had enough with the crazy fan politics and just gave up everything entirely in a burst of irritation. This was a very sad thought for me. While I don't say so enough (if ever), reading your stuff (fiction and ponderings) is what makes Atlantis more than trivial entertainment for me.
So, anyway, enough of my ramblings. I'm glad you're not gone!!!
& Thanks for all the effort you put into your collection of works. :)

Dude! I was freaking out! Rationally, I knew you were probably okay. I figured you'd probably just hit the wall with fandom or something, and for that I wouldn't blame you because people suck.
However, when I was a freshman in college, I had a friend who tried to kill herself (she failed) and the first thing she did before the attempt was she deleted her Blogger account (does anyone still use Blogger?). Ever since, I have a pavlovian panic attack when people disappear online.
Glad everythings okay!
