Intriguing.
It seems that nobody knows exactly what happened - at least, if we go by explanations on the face of it.
Also, really: have I missed something in the Will/Kate interactions? 'Cos they're doing intense like something happened when I wasn't looking. When Kate's caught up in the tsunami (and her phone shouldn't work after being soaked like that - the electronics need time to dry off) the camera focuses on Will, and the conversation before they send him into cardiac arrest is Kate not giving up.
I already mentioned the OTT-ness of evil: Terrence is a little too fixated on his goals to be particularly nice. (And, I think, it annoys me that nobody ever argues with the 'key' characters in these story. Yes, it wastes time in-show, but the other side of it is that it makes the world out to be moronic. Someone tells you to fire on another living being and nobody questions it? Nobody at all? Nobody even makes the protest, "But we're the good guys!")
Whatisname (Forsythe?) and the heel face turn was, um, rather lame. Happily for everyone involved, but lame.
And Helen is pretty awesome facing down Terrence. Getting in his way. Looking for alternative options. (That bothered me a lot, actually - that Terrence was so damn fixated on killing Big Bertha without even thinking, "well, hey, how about we wait a moment and find out what this might do to the rest of the ecology". Alternatives! Can Haz!)
Also, Kali? Did she die? Because Terrence missiled her, but the last report they had was that she was comatose. Or whatever it was.
DO THEY EXPLAIN THIS? (can just imagine that they don't)
*sigh* Kate-centric fic will be forthcoming. At the least, there'll be some for
halfamoon. At the least.
