So, on the off-chance there are any H50 fans who care, I did watch episodes of H50 - I believe it was 1.07-1.09. I just remember the Sanctuary stuff better.

So Alex O'Loughlin looks very nice topless. And water is wet.

In spite of not generally liking two guy buddy shows, I do actually enjoy this one. Steve and Danny have a really good dynamic with each other, and their interaction with Kono and Chin isn't so exclusive that it pisses me off.

So, these three episodes were the hostage situation on the old boat, the case of the dirty cop, and the Burmese general who was turning himself in.

Kono made a good (if slightly cynical) call there: the woman (if there is one) always gets sent to ask questions of the kid. And making

I am desperately hoping that the episode about Danny going after the dirty cop is not the conclusion to Chin's story of being thrown out on his ear by the force. Because Chin really should get his own story on that front.

I did like the part where Danny points out to Steve that a mountain of evidence is shit when you know the other person. And the 'Danny/Chin go drinking' scene, where Chin notes he wishes someone had been willing to stand up for him when he was fingered for turncoat. I like the connection between both Chin and Danny - the fact that they're both cops (or ex-cops) and have that familiarity. Steve is military - as was seen in both the hostage situation, and the episode with the Burmese general.

Okay, I was hoping that the Burmese general really would turn out to be a bad guy. So then, they're doing their job and they did it well, even if the guy really does deserve to die. It wasn't as horrendously cheesy as it could have been made, but there was a part of me that went, "Oh, so they're not just on the legal side, it also turns out that they're on the morally right side trying to keep this guy alive so he can pay for his sins as he intends."

Anyway, pleasant watching that didn't require stabbing my brain at any point in the show.

I really can't say the same of Sanctuary. 3.13 - 3.15 were just...eh. I kept watching because it's one of those things that you force yourself through (and because I'd heard that there are good eps on the other side).
