sga_saturday prompt for week 14 - driftwood. Thanks to the people who threw the ideas out for me to try, and thanks to
ileliberte whose musings sparked the ideas behind the story. Very short and angsty.

I just left a comment on your post of the story "Momma Always Said There'd Be Days Like These", I hope it's OK, if I post another one.
I just want to say that I liked this story, too.
It's bitter and sad and yet beautiful.
I could see in my mind Teyla standing in a crowded city, lost and alone (even with John and Torren there).
Two images stand out to me especially: the thought that there are more people on Earth than in the entire Pegasus galaxy. And the insight that "one cannot argue with a people too fearful to hope".
The first is just dizzying to think about and the second is oh so true and sad.
Thanks for writing!
Greetings, Py.
