Made a compost pile yesterday out in the garden, got bit twice by bull-ants.
My hand (where I was bitten) was fine all yesterday, but has swollen up this morning to the point where the knuckle barely bends.
I think I need to go see a doc.

Being a Yank, and thus not all that familiar with Australian fauna, particularly when one moves away from the old chestnuts of the kangaroo, the wallaby, the platypus, the koala, and the dingo, I'm not at all familiar with the bull-ants. Uh, make that I'm totally ignorant about the bull-ant.
I must do research, but the first question that occurs to me is to ask is the swelling likely to be a reaction that anyone would have to bull-and venom, or is it more a case of you have an allergy to it to cause that degree of swelling?
Anyway, I hope that your hand is better soon, and that it doesn't take much in the way of intervention to make it that way!
