So we've come out of the honeymoon period for Marvel Cinematic Universe, and are entering into canon territory.
I kind of expect my fic output to derail as new canon comes in, spoilers arrive, and my favourite characters will be shunted off to the side in favour of more emo-able characters.
Ironically, it's right about now that there are a couple of good Steve/Maria writers starting to pop up.
If you haven't checked them out (and you have the inclination) try:

He was a grown man, hell, he was a superhero. Asking a girl out for a drink wasn't that hard. It wasn't rocket science or espionage or math or divine intervention - it was just asking a girl a question. Out loud.
It has humour. It has snappy lines! It has characterisation that I can see from both Steve and Maria and all the other Avengers, too. Oh, and it has Bucky! (And Bucky/Natasha, which is guaranteed to send the Clintasha fiends on my list into automatic hives, but I do like what the author has done with it - the Bucky-Cap/James-Natasha division and how Maria sees him whole? FANNISH CATNIP. Also pre-story Clint/Phil, and Clint&Maria friendship.)
It's a WIP, though - I thought it was finished at 3 chapters, but then she added a 4th. I'm not exactly complaining, mind!

A series of conversations recently appointed Avengers liaison (babysitter) Maria Hill has with its component members following the Battle of New York. With Bonus! Pepper, Jane Foster, and Darcy.
Snappy dialogue, Maria-with-snark, enjoyable characterisation, Maria taking on Tony, and then conversations with Thor! (I'm uncertain about the use of High Language to depict Thor, but I enjoyed some of his lines and their delivery.) She said she's debating whether to do Clint/Natasha next or Maria&Pepper friendship. (She sees Maria & Pepper as having a lot in common and quite liking each other. Needless to say, I am ALL FOR THIS. Competent, powerful women FTW.)
Also a WIP.

There will probably be meta for May.
