I am trying to write for the Het Porn Ficathon but the sex just ain't getting there!

In the meantime, there are a number of ficathons that you might like to look at signing up for:

john_teyla_fic is running a ficathon for all forms of interaction between John and Teyla. If you like them as team-mates, then they're looking for people to write team-oriented fic. If you like them as lovers, then that's an option as well. You can specify what you want and don't want in the story, the only requirement is that the story should be focused on the dynamic between them, whether they're kicking ass while trying to save the galaxy, or doing the horizontal mambo in the sheets.
Then there are sign ups for thegate_women ficathon: stories about Sam, Vala, Teyla, or Elizabeth - or any combination thereof. They're looking for people willing to leave the boys at home and show the girls out having adventures of their own.
Finally, for the SG1 fans, there's thedark_gate ficathon. (What is it with everyone creating new communities for ficathons? What's wrong with the communities that already exist?) I don't think this one is open to SGA fans or characters (the userinfo doesn't seem to indicate that it is) but we could always ask.
It must be this whole hiatus thing. Everyone's going a bit stir-crazy. And we haven't even gotten through the first week.

Writing any character is really just a matter of getting into their head and sorting out their motivations: why are they doing this, why aren't they doing that?
And it's all a matter of imagination based on what we're given in the show. Interaction is simply people reacting to the situation and each other according to their mindsets.
