Someday, characters in a series will forget to exclaim in tones of abject horror, "Oh no!" Before a dramatic pause that wastes seconds during which they could easily give a brief on the situation and get some precious info across to the people waiting for it.

It's particularly unforgivable where situations that require exclamations of abject horror are commonplace to the character's situation.

Actually there's SOMEONE on Atlantis, who does the pause and then reacts about five seconds later. It's very off-putting, and makes the character look stupid. I'd like to think it's a product of bad editing, but as it's happened more than once it becomes increasingly unlikely, unless it's the same editor and they don't like the character or something....

It seriously bothered me the first time I noticed it in Aurora. They've repeatedly said they've got limited time, and then they spend precious seconds nailing their hands to their foreheads before starting to look for a solution.
