I shared a post on FB by Australian minister Jarrod McKenna [Bad username or site: @ twitter.com] to both child survivors of sexual abuse as well as those of us who've never had to be survivors regarding the continuing saga of George Pell, Catholic Archbishop found guilty of child sexual abuse, who's lost his appeal in the High Court of Victoria and is looking to take his ruling to the Supreme Court.

A friend questioned whether the post was was 'from Christians? Or Catholics?'.

Oh honey, do you really think that survivors of sexual abuse by religious leaders care whether the “correct” denomination of people are offering them comfort and someone's shoulder to lean on in the midst of emotional resonsnace?

Mind you, this is a woman who once accused me of trying to turn a baby boy gay by giving him a quilt with a patch of pink on it...

I can tell you that as a survivor, you don't give a shit if an atheist or a Satanist is offering you comfort.
