Well, apparently they haven't found anything to concern them in my coronary calcium scoring. It'll be interesting to see what B1 comes back with (she went for a scan this morning).
But the doc is concerned about the 7+ cholesterol reading (>5 is a concern), so we'll be going over a care plan, and possibly involving a dietician. That could get interesting.

It'll be interesting to see what a dietician would say, though.

For me, at least, these doctor's visits have been covered by Medicare. I think the initial visit to the dietician will be covered by Medicare, but if a further meeting and diet plan is arranged, then it'll likely start costing actual money.

I, unfortunately had a genetic predisposition to higher cholesterol. I was running marathons, eating right, and it was still high.
So my doc put me on a statin and it was perfect within a few weeks. She said that proved it was genetic and not what I was doing/eating. That it wouldn't be normal that fast otherwise. (sigh)

I...don't take vigorous care with my diet. But I do need to improve my fitness. I've been off the fitness for a couple of years now. Need to get back into it. Easier said than done, though...
