uuuuuuugh first monday morning back after holidays

Woke at 5am for morning PT. I hate 5am starts. I can do 6am, even in midwinter, but something about 5am is just WRONG to my brain and my body.

I had a lunchtime nap. It wasn't long enough. (I mean, it never is.)

First in-person local permaculture meeting tonight for months! Think the last one was June, and we went into lockdown for July, August, September, and the announcement for group meetings permitted only happened a day or two before the October meeting. So, here we are.

Permie group AGM is coming up, so is Christmas, and a prickly question: do we give the former prez and her husband the former treasurer Life Membership in the group? At one point, she denied the former former prez a Life Membership to the group because the two had disagreed about something. So at this point we are voting to give both former presidents of the group (and the former treasurer who is husband to one of them) Life Membership...

NaNo is going...okay? I'm nearly halfway and it's about the halfway mark. It turns out I'm rewriting Act II. Which way lies...madness. Or danger. Possibly both.

Anyway, I started work early, so I'm going to finish work early, too. And do some writing. Contemplate dinner. Maybe pick some peaches for permie supper...

Remind me to tell you about processing ALL THE NECTARINES on Saturday morning.

If I could have my way, I would spend summer in the USA and then summer again below the equator somewhere, like New Zealand or Australia. I despise winter.

I hope you resolve the member for life thing easily. It seems like a no-brainer to me. If they'd given years of service in those roles, yes, you give them this membership. But then I've been an officer in an organization, and it's a pain in the ass.
