Cramping's bad on this one. Hasn't been like that for a while.

Signed up for [community profile] auexchange. Got everything in, but haven't updated my letter and forgot to put some notes into the sign-up box. D'oh. Chances are, I'll get the same person as I have in previous years. I think they're my only match across the exchange - quite possibly they have been for the last number of years...

Permabee went well: we got a lot of the overgrown garden at the front of the house cleared, and dug out six trees/shrubs that I wanted out of the ground. I've given away two of those plus another which has been hanging around and which I had been intending to give away. There's still one more that I'd like to be rid of, but otherwise they've been potted and now just have to be managed in terms of water. Which isn't a problem so long as we're in La Nina weather patterns, but could be more difficult if we switch to El Nino.

Chooks are noisy today. Probably because they don't have enough food, which I will have to go out and secure for them at lunch, because I didn't yesterday. Also, they're in a restricted area, which they are Not Happy about, when there's a whole area of that they could be roaming in! Turned! With worms!

Frankly, the new BA.5 variant of Omi is freaking me out. I want to go out, but I don't want to catch the next COVID, and so I don't go out. But it's frustrating to watch all the people posting photos of the things they're doing and the places they're going.

Must be a thousand times worse for the seriously immunocompromised.

Also: I am wondering if my chest issues are aspergillus-related (mould) rather than COVID/flu. I have five leather jackets in various states of mouldiness, presently sitting in the bathroom, needing a good wipedown with hot soapy water, a secondary wipe-down with vinegar, and a sun-dry. Also: must wear a mask while doing that.

That said, this week might be dryish, but next week is looking wettish. I'm just hoping that it's as dry through the end of July and the start of August as the weather app claims...

I put the tattooing off for a month (can't remember if I mentioned this) because of the chest infection.

Thinking of holding a birthday gathering for myself: BBQ on the driveway, BYO drinks and/or a plate, be willing to do a spot of weeding? :D

Problem is the weather I could hire a hall if I got really desperate. BYOB? (bring your own beanbag)

I was on the fence about signing up for AU Exchange, and then realized at bedtime Saturday night that the deadline was in BRITISH time, not UTC, so it was much earlier than I thought, so there wouldn't be time for me to sign up because Sunday mornings are, um, busy for pastors. Alas.

Sounds like a good birthday idea. :)
