Vanity question. No bones about it.

In the pic of my tattoo, the backs of my arms have very uneven patchy colouring. This isn't usual for my skin - at least, not in any of the areas that I can see. Maybe I'm just all patchy all over the back of my arms, legs, butt, and back, and I can never see it, so I don't know?

Anyway, how would one go about making skin tone more even, less patchy? My first instinct is actually 'get them some sunlight/UV', and possibly just more regular skin massage of the flesh in that area? IDEK.

It's not life-or-death, nor even close, but I'm just wondering a little.

If you're really self-conscious about it, this is what spray tanning is for - the sunlight/UV approach will just make things worse over time. You could also book in for one of those full body spa treatments where they give you a good ol' scrub, but that's more for the relaxation aspect and I don't know if that messes with you having a recent tattoo??

I'm pretty sure your tattoo pics haven't all looked like that either, so keep in mind that modern phone cameras do things based on in-built AI rules and rarely reflect reality.

That said, if you want to do the day spa thing some time let me know, it's been forever!

Have you ever been checked out for vitiligo, where melanin is simply missing from patches of skin? It has no horrible side effects that I'm aware of.
