Things still being charged to the card, up to yesterday. Most likely "pending" but this time the bank has let them go through.

I am calling companies to try to work out what was purchased from them and whether the person doing the buying happened to leave a name...

Not that I'd hunt them down, show up at their door with a crowbar or anything...

This is why I only ever use a credit card online, never a debit card. If I'm disputing a charge and it doesn't get fixed right away I just don't pay it off.

I've had my cc# stolen maybe 5 or 6 times in the last ten years and my credit card company has always been on the ball about freezing the card right away.

I am SO sorry! I went through this recently with my debit card. I caught the first charge and my bank immediately cancelled the card and issued me a new one, then allowed me to contest the charge and removed it.
