Welcome to the "12 Days of Christmas" for Teyla, featuring Teyla-centric fanwork posted every day from the 1st Jan to the 12th Jan!

Our object is to get out as much fic, art, graphics, vids, and meta about a Teyla in a twelve day period as is humanly possible.

If you can produce Teyla-centric work of any kind - gen, het, or femmeslash - then we'd love you to sign up and make a commitment! If you can't make a commitment, then the "12 Teylas of Christmas" will still be open for fans of Teyla to post their fanwork (created specifically for the 12 Days) over that period - the sign-up is just to be sure that we have at least one or two works being produced for every one of the 12 Days.

Sign-up form (copy and paste)
Name/LJ:
Email:
Type of fanwork: [fic, art, graphics, icons, vids, meta - just to get the gist of what's being done]
Brief description of fanwork: [pairing, topic, theme - again, to give an idea of what we'll be looking at]
Due Date of fanwork - 1st choice: [1st Jan - 12th Jan - if you've already indicated an interest in participating, your choice of date will get priority]
Due Date of fanwork - 2nd choice:
Due Date of fanwork - 3rd choice:

Original sign-up post (You can post to either that one or this one)

Fanworks can be fic, art, banners, icons, vid, meta...anything you can conceive that's centered on Teyla. Any fics should be at least 500 words, and if you're posting icons, a batch of 5 would be the minimum.

If you can't make a commitment to sign-up, at least post a comment to say that you'll make an effort to produce something during that period.

Question for people who'd like to participate, but aren't willing to commit: Would it help to have a theme for each day?
eg. 1st Jan can have the prompts "beginnings, red, friendship", while 2nd Jan would be "getting off on the wrong foot, green, candles" and so on? Is it easier for people to write to prompts than think up their own?

Again, I'd appreciate it if people would promote this out to their f-lists. There are plenty of Teyla fans in circles outside my f-list, and we'd love to have them participate!

I like the idea of a theme for each day, perhaps it could be considered optional?

Throwing up the (optional) themes in advance would be really useful. (because that way I not only get prompted, but I could write something in advance that I can throw up in the chaos that's going to be early January)

Ooh, I also have a question, is s4 stuff fair game, or are we staying is thtat to be considered too spoilery?

I was wondering whether it would be possible to participate spontaneously if you decide to go ahead with (optional) themes for each day. Is there a limit to the amount of stuff posted each day?

For example, I've put my name down for a fic on one day. If inspiration strikes for another day, would it be stealing someone else's thunder to submit fic for that day too?

I'm just wondering because it might make it easier for others to participate if it's more spontaneous. Since we have commitments for each day, there shouldn't be a problem with a dearth of fanworks on any particular day.

It is wholly possible that I'm misunderstanding the point of 12 Days of Teyla. If so, I'm sorry for the stupid questions :)

Is it too late to tack me on to one of the days? I keep missing these posts!

I just realised I'd completely misread the dates assuming it'd be taking place in December but with it in January I should be able to do something, might even manage several somethings but I won't formally sign up because it's hard to promise specifically since I'm not feeling very well this week. If I do manage to finish my current fannish Christmas obligations on time and am feeling well after that I shall endeavour to create a small vid, artworks or something else a bit more diverse than the usual fic I'd usually offer to do. :)
