he feels a rush of disappointment like a fist in the belly. It's over and gone - the ephemeral sensation of being part of a bigger whole

And that is exactly how I feel at this moment - the bigger whole being my desire to write that evaporated in a moment.

I hate days like this.

So, I got the [livejournal.com profile] sticksandsnark entry done.

It was pushing water uphill towards the end, but I think it kind of (sort of) works.

Beta?

This is the fic!

Teyla and Caldwell are stuck. Stuckity, stuck, stuck, stuck. Issues unresolved and differences unresolvable. I think she's going to have to just walk away from it right now, because he's not listening and she can't conceive having done differently. John is trying to find a way to explain to the Daedelus' Chief that the pallet of nailpolish is not actually for him. Laura is baiting Rodney and he's going to get, if not a lump of coal, then certainly something reasonably non-birthdayish for his next birthday, and either John or Teyla is about to die. I think it's going to be John, because I feel like whumping the man.

Back on Earth, Ronon is asking John about getting to second base, and Elizabeth's about to say 'yes' to Jack. Somewhere else, Ronon is seducing Elizabeth - again. Don't ask about John, Teyla, the manacles, and the whip. Really.

And I want to draw John, Teyla, Ronon, Rodney, Elizabeth, and Carson as Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, Eeyore, Kanga, and Rabbit respectively. Alas, like a drunk, my enthusiasm far outstrips my skill to actually perform the deed.

[livejournal.com profile] greenconverses, if you dare laugh, I shall disown you!

TITLE: A Million Ways To Be Cruel
SUMMARY: Teyla learns why it's best not to ask questions of a personal nature in a public space.
CATEGORY: humour, team
RATING: PG-13
SPOILERS: A blink-and-you'll-miss-it reference to a conversation in McKay And Mrs Miller.
NOTES: This story is something of a group effort. During a conversation in chat one day, one of the chat participants asked Teyla's question and things just went downhill from there... Credit should go where credit is due!

The title is taken from the OK Go vid 'A Million Ways' which I know about because it has the coolest video evah.

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] vipersweb who tried to beta this and helped me restructure it. Hopefully it's an improvement on what I sent you the first time, R!
