9,000 words. That more or less means I've done 5,000 words in the last week, which isn't bad.

Except that if I continue at this pace, it means I must write 5,000 words a week from now until the due date to get the story finished. And the story's proving difficult enough to chivvy along as is.

5,000 in one week? Wow! Considering the longest story I've ever written was, like, 5 pages long, I am in awe right now. I know it's a massive assache sometimes, but your readers totally appreciate all your hard work!
