Sorry. I'm just watching the opening scene again. And I really have to let my inner shipper off the leash to squee.

I was nice and restrained on other people's journals. Really, I was. I was polite. I smiled and nodded. I glee'd when it came to the team (who were the definition of cute and adorable and so very loyal to each other - even if I didn't mention the team-ness in my last post). But I didn't squee.

I really, really, have to squee. It's like the Adama/Roslin shippers the other week - you know it's going to all go bum-end up pretty soon, so you gotta squee while you got 'em!

SQUEE!!!

I. Love. This. Because, darlings, this is all in John's head, being made up by his subconscious. He's providing the candles, the wine, the admissions, the cues. The night is going the way he wants it to go, cued by a side of him he doesn't usually let out to play. He wants this quiet time with Teyla - and he wants her to want the quiet moments between them, too. And, what I find very amusing, is that John plays the gentleman and offers her an early night while what he really wants is for Teyla to invite him in to 'thank him properly'!

Which, I guess, depicts the way John and Teyla work their relationship quite perfectly: he lets her set the intimacy level and he stands by it.

I am a happy little shipper at this moment. My gen f-list can be reassured: it will pass - it always does! But in the meantime, I am gleeful and squeeful and a happy little vegemite!

ZOMG! SQUEE!

And, right on cue, here come the plotbunnies!

Ack!
