By the way, I'd stopped watching this show about 2/3 of the way through the first season, as its pacing was SO EFFING SLOW I could not take it. I planned to sit down and have a marathon and watch a ton of episodes at once, like I have to do with Lost. One thing led to another, and I never got around to it, even all the way through the second season.
Until you started posting on it! I just happened to look it up on Netflix and all of the eps were available for immediate viewing on my computer. Score! I'm four eps into the second season and it's fun. I know a lot of people were bitching about how horrible the second season was, but I'm already a third of the way through and I'm just not seeing it. Unless something seriously shitty happens soon, I don't know what people were bitching about.
I think it's the same thing that happened with Lost. A new show comes out and every single person loses their damn mind, going on and on about how it's the greatest thing to ever grace the airwaves (sorry, y'all, but that honor belongs to Farscape, now and forever). Then they have the summer hiatus to get ahold of themselves. With the initial hysteria is gone, possibly combined with what might arguably be called a sophomore slump, people realize it's not some magical work of unparalleled genius and they start screaming "We have been betrayed! A shark has been jumped! Rabble rabble rabble rabble...." Whatever, fandom.
In conclusion: Goddammit, I can ramble.
