I don't get it.
They pretty much dropped the Carter/Allison interaction in S2 in favour of focusing on Carter's relationship with his daughter Zoe and the Allison/Stark interaction over Kevin and the artifact, so why are they playing it up now that she's gotten engaged to Stark again?

I just finished 4.04 - I Do Over which was good. But still...it feels heavy-handed compared to the way they've been doing it before this.

It didn't seem unreasonable for Stark and Allison to get back together after everything with Kevin, especially since the whole AU (bastards!) where Carter and Allison was married never transpired.

I guess that there were more UST moments between Carter and Allison in S1 (the one that comes to mind is the magnetised fence in...oh, around 1x10 or 1x11). And they seem to have been bringing them back - particularly in the episode What About Bob? (biosphere with snake regression), but also in Best In Faux (dogs and volcanos)...
It just seemed a bit abrupt to up the Jack/Allison interaction all of a sudden in S3.
But I shall keep watching to try to see where they're going.

I guess that it doesn't feel very 'slowly' to me. They hinted at the tension between Jack and Allison a little over S2 but in S3, it's like they hit the throttle and roared it into life.

Are you still looking for the back end of season 2?

That's brilliantly classic.
I see your point; I'm just a bit surprised at the bluntness of it, since they really toned it down in S2.

But there's also the possibility that they wanted to look at the love triangle from both angles. The first season it was sort of Stark on the outside, being jealous of the relationship (friendship or whatever) between Jack and Allison. Season two started to switch things over, and season three has far more of Jack on the outside. But, yeah, keep watching and things will start to become clear.

I can see why they did it; I'm just a little surprised at the style in which they've done it.
