I offered my house up for the Sydney NaNoWriters' Night Of Manuscripting Madness (a.k.a. NOMM) this Saturday night. About a dozen people are coming and it promises to be a good night! Just...a little busy, perhaps.

Seven seams to finish [livejournal.com profile] sharim's quilt. They're the long seams. It looks reasonably impressive, actually - at least from a distance! It wouldn't win any prizes for precision at the corners, let me tell you! And I'm hoping A doesn't mind the pink or else...well... :/

I'm thinking about making up the back as well, so it's reversible and not so...pink. I have this batik jelly roll I bought about 4 years ago and still haven't used, so that could be a stash buster, perhaps? Rail fence is simple and effective - so I've been told. I've never done one before! (Also, [livejournal.com profile] jadestrick? You asked about whether I'd make you a quilt forever ago: sure, I'd make you one! It would just might take...a little time. I'm a shocker with projects like this!)

[livejournal.com profile] artaxastra? I think you'd really like this quilt...

Tonight's goal before going to see HP7 Part 1 with the NaNoWriters at 8:30pm: 1700 words. Three time 20 mins of hardcore writing would do it if I know what scenes I'm writing beforehand.

Female main character has just met the romantic interest, who's commissioning her people to do work for him. They're going to talk international politics before the party they're at is interrupted by an uninvited guest and she sends him on his way. Then there's a confrontation scene with her brother about the behaviour of his liege lord who's the brother of the gatecrasher. Hopefully all pretty intense stuff.
