Twenty-one nominations for the Stargate Awards. And I'm allowed ten entries!
*panics*
Thank you to the people who nominated those twenty-one stories. It's nice to be noticed. *understates* And while winning is lovely and gets you a pretty banner to stick up on your site, the nominations are what really count in my books.
So...thanks to the people who put in the time and energy to nominating my stories. I'm glad they touched you, and it's lovely to see that the ones that came up are the stories I'm really proud of.
And good luck to the people who had their fic nominated (and yes, I nominated fic, although never my own). If I nommed you, I sincerely thought you deserved it, and was more than happy to put up your story. Good fic should be encouraged.
So, now we wait to see who landed where and how the category things turned out in the end...

On average, I've written one story for every week I've been writing. Which is quite a lot of stories...
Well, the nominations are over, now it's down to voting. At the least, it provides a list of fics that someone thought was good. (Even if their opinion of 'good' and my opinion of 'good' are not even vaguely conversant with each other...)

I feel your pain, I had to cut my noms down to 10 and it was like choosing between puppies... :) Hee!

I'd also like to wish you Good Luck with the culling process! :-P I got five noms and believe me it was tough to categorize just those five, luckily they had elements of several different genres or I'd still be fussing over them.
Due to the fact that I'm new to fanficdom I don't know why the Awards Committee decided on allowing only ten noms (fanfic and/or multimedia) to an individual. I can understand wanting to spread things around, but when a truly *great* author and a mediocre author are placed on the same level, it doesn't seem right some how.

They were average writers, but they were very well-known and popular for the pairing they wrote and the fact that they wrote fluffy, sappy stories (which people tend to like).
Hence the limit.
Thanks, and good luck!
