Hi and welcome if you're new – whether in the last round of friending memes, or possibly from the last six months of my writing in Avengers movieverse fandom.
If you're friending on DW, I tend to post everything – personal and fannish – on there, with my LJs being (mostly) personal and (mostly) fannish. The streams occasionally cross.
These days, I'm heavily into the writing side of Avengers fandom – less the reading side since the stuff I want to read (Maria Hill-centric fic) doesn't exist for the most part. I'm specifically into writing Avengers fic with a focus Maria Hill, and/or Maria Hill/Steve Rogers, although there's a lot of team-ness in there (including Team-As-Family), and some Clint/Natasha.
In the coming month, there'll be a lot of Yuletide, and a lot of a lot of Elementary, since I'm writing that for Yuletide. (BEARS. BEARS EVERYWHERE!)
On the personal side, I tend to post rants about life, the universe, and things that annoy me – the longer ones will be behind an lj-cut. And occasionally quilting – I've just finished my Eternity Quilt and I need to make a post complete with pics for that - but I'm hoping to get a few more 'simple' quilts done in the coming months.
I don't really lock anything anymore, unless it's really personal or private. I'm not worried about my family reading my stuff – although I have had flak from relatives finding my journal before. The only thing the parentals (mum and stepdad) are likely to ask of me is "so when are you going to write something we can actually read instead of all this fanfiction". I keep telling them "next year". I think I've been telling them that for nearly a decade now.
There'll be a travelogue in the new year as I go visit my Dad in Vietnam just after Christmas. Hopefully there will be at least a few photos.
Please comment – on meta, on fic, on thoughts, on life – I will generally respond, and I love conversations, even if they take a couple of days to work through. Sometimes it's nice to have the long, drawn out conversations – that was how I developed many of the fannish friendships I've sustained through the last dozen years.
I'm available on Tumblr (
tielan), and my fanfic is on AO3 (
tielan) and on ff.net (although that is slower to get there).
Otherwise, come in, say hi, comment and chat!
