If no-one knows you could always search through the software update posts as I'm pretty sure it was announced with fanfare.

I don't remember exactly, but it was not there for the first AO3 yuletide in 2009, but *was* there for the second so... last 1/2 of 2010, I would guess?

Hm. 2nd half of 2010 makes sense.

I have a story - my 2nd highest hit story - which has all of 20 kudos on it. I was just trying to remember if it was posted before or after the kudos button was added.
