Well, more specifically, hard to get internet at the cabin we're at in Estes Park YMCA. And my phone data card is not working at all so icky.

Awesome trail walk today ~9.6km (6mi) and [livejournal.com profile] sjhw_tolerance MADE ME. And it snowed. (not while we were walking but probably just as we got back down). I have a gajillion photos and will have to sort through them, but we started at Bear Lake Trailehead, went up to Alberta Falls, and then up to Mills Lake which was lovely.

There have been elk and deer and interesting people from all over the US and I am very tired and slightly internet deprived. (FOMO)

Anyway, headed for North Carolina tomorrow at an ungodly hour. Tonight, packing, early bed, and maybe a squidge of writing.

I ended up dropping the Marvel Bang challenge - I had the words but there was no way the story was going to be finished. Instead, I'll see if I can ask a couple of fanartists I know if they'd like to do some art for the story. Otherwise...it'll get posted whenever I find the ability to finish the damn thing.

But I am fine. Estes Park is a cute little town, the Rocky Mountains National Park is gorgeous, and I am hungry.

Ah, Camp of the Rockies. I've been there many a time for choir and school retreats. It's a good time of year for it too; the weather's cooled off and it's too early for the elk to be very randy. And yes, I don't think there's a single ugly area around there.
