Not mine: [livejournal.com profile] dzurlady's.

She went to the corresponding Friends of Science Fiction convention in Melbourne - Rachel Luttrell, David Nykl, Tony Amendola, and her report is here.

Apparently we're a bloodthirsty (or concerned) lot about who's gonna cark it next season.

...and I might have booked a spot in the February convention featuring Joe Flanigan in Sydney. Possibly. *shifty look*

*sigh* Hey, I'm tired of spending money in the thousands to meet you folks. I'd rather spend tens, but at least hundreds is manageable.

Um, if there are actual rumors that someone is going to die next season, could you maybe not announce that with no warning to those of us who didn't want to know?

Oh! No, no, she's just talking about what people were talking about at the con, which was questions like 'If you could choose, how would you like Zelenka to die?' ('Of old age, in his sleep') and 'If you could choose one cast member to die, who would it be?' That kind of stupid stuff. *rolls eyes at other audience members*

I haven't heard anything about the Feb con...is this FSF?

I think my sister and I met you briefly with Inge et al just before lunch.

The David, David and Paul con I went to last November was pretty good, if that makes you feel any better, although the fact that it's so expensive is a bit sad. And they restrict who can get autographs and photos fairly heavily. Oh, and they don't let you take many photos - we were told we couldn't take any, so didn't take our cameras, although in practice they gave everyone a very limited window to take a few photos in.

I went to the first half dozen or so BOBW ever ran, when they were small and reasonably priced. Now...I'm not going to pay $250 just for the chance of autographs. The prices are totally overblown and ridiculous.

Just before going to lunch, you were waiting with a group including Inge and a few others, including I think mcalex22 and derry667 near the escalators/toilet. I was with my sister.

Heh. I'm not sure if we were "formally introduced". I only put it together after reading your con report and recognising you asking the questions. I asked Tony the question about favourite guest role which led him into talking about West Wing and John Spencer.

Well, that makes BOBW a bargain ;)
