to crossovering or not to crossovering?

I do so enjoy fusions, although the MCU AUfest is kicking my butt right now. (Due in just over 36 hours and they're maybe halfway through? ARGH.)

However, I need to sufficiently polish 7K of an original fiction for a workshop I'll be taking at DragonCon in Atlanta. I'm not sure my ego will survive the critique, but I guess I'll find out.

It's not that I don't have 7K of an original fiction story; it's that none of the stories I have are finished. And they're relatively polished, but this is supposed to be our 'very best work'.

I think my 'very best work' is fanfiction, peoples... :(
